Time Square’s Guy Fieri’s Kitchen & Bar goes family-friendly

The Tshwane restaurant named after larger-than-life American chef Guy Fieri is now open for the whole family, with a new entrance separate from the Time Square Casino gaming floor.

Offering big, bold American-Italian inspired cuisine, Guy Fieri’s Kitchen & Bar South Africa has been relaunched with a new, easy access entrance which is adjacent to the Magic Company Arcade – ideal for entertaining busy youngsters and making the dining spot more family-friendly.

There is also a new food and drinks menu. The atmospheric and fun restaurant serves up signature dishes by the chef, who is known for TV shows such as Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Guy’s Grocery Games, as well as those which are unique to the Pretoria Time Square restaurant.

Diners will need to come hungry, as the menu, which celebrates Fieri’s heritage, is filled with hearty dishes like American Royal Ribs, Chicken Fried Chicken, Big Bite Burgers like the award-winning bacon, mac and cheese and signature knuckle sandwiches including the ‘rise and swine’ French toast.

“Since opening four years ago, we have kept abreast with international food trends, so our new food and drinks menu seeks to share some of these with our regular guests,” said Guy Fieri Kitchen & Bar chef, Samantha Meyer.

In keeping with the trend for shareable lighter bites are Fieri’s epic ‘trash can nachos’, an onion flower bomb and dragon chilli cheese fries. There is also a selection of salads.

Time Square General Manager, Ruben Gooranah said the addition of a new entrance meant that under 18’s could now dine at Guy Fieri’s Kitchen & Bar. “Our mechanical bull is going to enthral a whole new age group – but we don’t advise that too many Cookies & Cream milkshakes are consumed beforehand.”
