CARNIVAL CITY REOPENING STATEMENT

After being closed for almost a month, Carnival City was finally able to reopen its doors to welcome back its customers.

The casino and hotel were closed following stricter level 4 lockdown regulations introduced in June as a result of the third wave of Covid-19.

Speaking at the reopening, Carnival City General Manager Annemie Turk said, “We are excited and relieved in equal measure to be open for business again. Our customers have let us know that they missed us, but we have missed them too and can’t wait to welcome them back. Now that the vaccine programme is picking up pace we are hopeful that we will never have to close our doors again, but for now, we will continue to adhere to our strict Covid-19 protocols. Masks are still mandatory, and our guests will be required to keep their social distance from each other, but we can guarantee that they will receive the warmest welcome.”

In keeping with the new level 3 regulations, the complex will close at 9pm.

Ends.
